WWF’s Black Rhino Range Expansion Project has funded over a million rand this year alone for rhino security on important reserves in KwaZulu-Natal, supplying ongoing training in crime scene investigation, salaries and high protection gear for rhino monitors, communication and surveillance equipment, vehicles and even light aircraft for aerial surveillance. Veterinary interventions by helicopter for injured black rhinos are also increasing in number and in cost.
Rhino poaching is a growing reality, in spite of the massive efforts on the ground by the heroes who defend our rhinos. Please donate now.
